Pressestimmen:
"Raw and very funny ... confirms [Alexi Kaye Campbells] standing as a fresh and sensitive voice." (Evening Standard)
"Entertaining, thought-provoking and touching ... sharp, funny, wise and humane, Alexi Kaye Campbell is a writer to cherish." (Daily Telegraph)
"Alexi Kaye Campbells successful debut [The Pride] explored changing attitudes to homosexuality between 1958 and 2008. His new play again contrasts past and present mores, asking what we have gained and lost ... But the evening really belongs to the women: to Paula Dionisottis truculent defensive Kristin, her own pain buried beneath a dry, prickly exterior, to Nina Sosanya as the soap actress Claire, who challenges Kristins assumptions, and to Sarah Goldberg as the sweet apple-pie American Trudi, who, paradoxically understands Kristin." (Financial Times)
"Alexi Kaye Campbell makes political drama feel intensely personal." (The Sunday Times)
"Campbell won a Critics Circle Award for his first play The Pride, and Apologia, his second, does'nt disappoint. This is a sharp, satirical and poignant drama." (Independent on Sunday)
"The freshness of the dialogue, the perfectly judged rhythm, the well-drawn characters, and the unravelling of the central conceit suggest that Campbell may just be a star in the making." (Theatre World Review)
"A well written, humorous and deeply felt drama." (The Stage)
"At the Bush, Alexi Kaye Campbells Apologia is a searching and powerful family drama, as two adult sons confront their acerbic, neglectful mother over their upbringing to reveal an intricate web of damaged relationships." (The Sunday Express)
